Select a scenario listed below from a phase of the lifespan and develop a 10 page paper on the topic. Please include an Abstract, Reference List, and 3 – 5 peer reviewed references. See footnote for assignment scenarios. Scenario I: Describe your perceptions on death and dying and how they were developed. Please include concepts, theories, and research on death and dying learned in this course. Also, include how your attitudes towards death and dying have changed as a result of taking this course. Scenario 2: You have a friend whose child was recently diagnosed with autism. She says that her child was active, engaged, and growing in a healthy manner, then suddenly stopped talking and reverted to behaviors from early childhood. Describe the critical components of the Childs Theory of Mind and how this theory varies in children with autism. Scenario 3: Your favorite cousin has called you to discuss strategies to engage and better understand her teenage daughter. One minute she’s warm and loving, the next minute she’s angry and hostile. She refuses to leave home when she has what she considers a “bad hair day” or a pimple. How would you explain these behaviors to your cousin and what recommendations would you suggest for helping her work with her daughter? Using concepts, theories, and research an adolescence learned in this course discuss cognitive changes, adolescent health, and issues encountered during adolescence. Scenario 4: Relationships in middle to late childhood are critical to the foundation for development of relationships as adults. Using concepts, theories, and research learned in this course discuss how developmental changes influence peer relationships, social cognition, socioeconomic status, ethnicity, and culture impact relationships with friends.
