Then write a post on the course discussion board in the form of a campaign speech advocating either Republican Herbert Hoover or Democrat Franklin Roosevelt. Be sure to discuss 1) why your chosen candidates’ policies are the best ones, 2) why your candidates’ personal qualities and experience will make him an effective president, and 3) why his opponent’s policies are undesirable. (There are no right or wrong choices here, just arguments made more or less effectively!) Then read some of your classmates’ posts and respond to at least two, being sure to advance the discussion.
