This course has introduced you to many aspects of drama. You have examined emphasis, character, and relationship. You are to select one of the dramatic art forms below and complete a research report on that form. Your report should answer the following questions: What is the cultural background of this art form? (where does it originate from? What important political, cultural and/or environmental things were occurring in this part of the world that would affected the creation of this art form?) Describe at least one play/film which has been done in this art form. How does this art form incorporate stagecraft? How does this art form use more than one artistic discipline? (visual art, dance, drama) Art forms to choose from: NOH theatre, Kabuki theatre, abstract drama, natural theatre, Elizabethan theatre, Improvisation theatre, mime, musical theatre, existential theatre.
