How is this at odds with the history we’ve studied and were does it confirm what we’ve seen? 2. How is the fascist threat to America portrayed? How does this play on specifically American fears of the time? 3. Americans were clearly apprehensive about getting involved in World War 2. How does Capra portray and frame this apprehension? As importantly, how does he make American efforts to prepare for the war seem like the natural course of action instead of ones that Roosevelt had to constantly reframe for the public and defend against the attacks of his opponents?
