Compare/contrast the complex parent-child relationships in Sylvia Plath’s “Daddy,” Rhina Espaillat’s“Bilingual/Bilinguë,” and Natasha Trethewey’s “White Lies.” In your paper you should consider the roleof language, as well as the social and historical contexts in which each poem was written.
