The instructions were: I want you to read the chapter from David Harvey’s, A Brief History of Neoliberalism, provided to you in the course materials titled, ‘Freedom’s Just Another Word’, and I want you to summarize it and provide your thoughts/opinions. Summarization does not mean that you provide a play-by-play of every description of everything written (i.e. This happened, and then this happened, and then…). It means that you need to identify the key points that a writer is making and present them to the reader in your words. Do not rely on quoting directly from the source to summarize a body of writing. A good summary should not be longer than a couple paragraphs, and then you refer back to it when providing your thoughts.
