McCormick’s article is one of the standard ones in the literature on violent video games. Is the argument in it a good one? In other words, is there a moral problem with playing these games? If so, why (it can be a reason he didn’t talk about – there’s a follow-on literature that goes through several other kinds of arguments)? If not, why not – which reasons are compelling, and why?
