Financial accounting and managerial accounting, are very similar, however, share a key difference that separates the two: Financial accounting presents information for external parties, whereas managerial accounting prepares information for internal parties. As stated in this week’s reading, “Financial accounting reports are prepared for the use of external parties such as shareholders and creditors, whereas managerial accounting reports are prepared for managers inside the organization.(Ahmed & Author Sana, 2020). Both financial and managerial accounting deal with numbers and reports, however, how they are compiled and resented, as well as the information they consider to be most crucial are slightly different. For my future work situation, managerial accounting will be the most important.
