The twentieth century saw two major communist revolutions in two of the most populated countries in the world. Both the Russian Revolution of 1917 and the Chinese Revolution of 1949 involved the massive mobilization of peoples; the complete overthrow of the ruling elites; new ideas, and the right to education, housing, and health care. They both included many experiments and made many mistakes, including persecution, mass imprisonment and death, as well as control of the media. Analyze either the Russian or the Chinese revolutions and the rise of global communism (internationalism).
