Discuss the family dynamics and how the intersectional roles of culture, national origins, age, race, socioeconomic status, immigration/refugee status, gender, and sexual orientation play in understanding the particular “Asian American” or “Pacific Islander” family/families depicted in this film you’ve selected. What themes of “family” do you find in this film? How has “culture” been maintained? How has it been resisted? How has it been transformed? Please explain this in the context of this particular Asian American/Pacific Islander family/families. Discuss the the particular time period within which this story is taking place and how that also shapes this family’s life.
Similar to primary research, development of the literature review requires four stages:
Problem formulation—which topic or field is being examined and what are its component issues?
Literature search—finding materials relevant to the subject being explored
Data evaluation—determining which literature makes a significant contribution to the understanding of the topic
Analysis and interpretation—discussing the findings and conclusions of pertinent literature
These are the two arguments for the body paragraph that I thought of:

Review the congressional ratings provided by Americans for Democratic Action (a liberal interest group) and the American Conservative Union (a conservative interest group). These groups cannot analyze every vote cast in every Congress, so they choose particular votes that they feel best represent their ideology. Compare and contrast the broad categories of votes each of these groups have analyzed in the two most recent years of available data.
Additionally, analyze the voting record of your United States Representative and one of your United States Senators using these interest group ratings. Be sure to provide the names of each of your representatives and discuss what can be learned about the voting records of these individuals based on these ratings.
As Christian voters, how can we use these congressional ratings sites as a tool for better understanding incumbent candidates?
Americans for Democratic Action scores are available here. The American Conservative Union scores are available here.
