Write a 4-5-page (1200-1500 word) original argumentative essay that uses some aspect of psychoanalytic theory to direct an interpretation and close reading of one of the literary texts. The essay should make use of both the theory (description, quotes, analysis) and the literary text (quotes and analysis) to explore ideas and to develop an argument about the literary text. As noted in the syllabus, plagiarism will result in failure of the assignment and the course.
