There are many differences between public-sector and private-sector computer investigations. What do you see are the top three and why
1. Write a paper describing the work presented. Include in your overview, some background on the topic and the goals and rationale of the study.
2. Write a paper describing the experimental design used to address the goal/problem and list the major results from each approach. Be sure to include the two key areas (proteomics results and central metabolism results) and how they connected the results from these two areas to make a complete story.
3. Answer the following questions.
1. Given what you know about regulation of central pathways, why did the authors not identify pathways that were required during infection in their proteomics experiments?
2. Could an enzyme/pathway be important during infection but not show an effect when it is knocked-out? Why?
3. What are the main findings in the paper? [hint: what does E. coli eat in the urinary tract?]
4. What is an auxotroph? How did the author demonstrate auxotrophic phenotypes in vitro? What did the in vivo results from the 2 auxotrophs tell us about the urinary tract environment and how did these data support the main findings of the paper?
This week we are learning about Six Sigma and how small businesses can benefit from using Six Sigma. For this forum you are asked to review the value creating function chart in lesson 1. Choose one of the functions or one that you have found, and explain how you could use one of the methods of Six Sigma to improve the function you have picked.
Implementing methodologies that improve production and product reliability is a cross-departmental, cross-functional process. The assignment for this week is to use either DMAIC: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control, or DMADV: Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, Verify for one cross-departmental, cross functional process from your business venture. Using one of the methods, explain how you will evaluate a clear measure of quality improvement. This is not about the data, just about the method.
Examine how this view may negatively and positively impact the student’s self-concept. Propose solutions to the negative impacts and ways to better leverage the positive impacts you discussed.
Propose three ways that you could incorporate the domain ( Improving outreach and collaboration with families and community) into your daily teaching practices and / or guide other teachers to incorporate this domain into their teaching practices.
Describe an instance in which you observed students engaging in superficial learning. Provide an alternative approach to the one that you witnessed that could also have compelled students to engage in profound learning.
Provide two alternative ways to evaluate a student’s performance other than a paper-and-pencil test. Evaluate whether or not these methods would be accepted as a measure for performance standards equivalent to a paper-and-pencil test. Support your position with a pedagogical theory.
Consider the following scenario in relation to your venture and determine the opportunity cost of leaving your job to become an entrepreneur.
You currently make $50,000 per year at your job plus benefits (equal to 30% of your salary). On January 1 of the New Year, you start your own business. After the first year, your accountant informs you that you made $45,000 and out of that you paid $6,000 for health insurance. What was your opportunity cost? If your opportunity cost is higher than you would like, how can you lower your opportunity cost in the future years?
