Discuss how to Determine If Your Employee Turnover is Recruiting’s or HR’s Fault (And How to Fix It) by Paul Petrone

Recruiting and Retaining Top Talent You learned about human resources management this week, including its many functions and responsibilities. This assignment will have you analyze one important aspect of human resources management. Part One: Please review the following resources: Strategies for Retaining Employees and Minimizing Turnover by Sarah K. Yazinski https://hr.blr.com/whitepapers/Staffing-Training/Employee-Turnover/Strategies-for-Retaining-Employees-and-Minimizing- How to Determine If Your Employee Turnover is Recruiting’s or HR’s Fault (And How to Fix It) by Paul Petrone https://business.linkedin.com/talent-solutions/blog/2015/08/employee-retention-turnover-hr-recruiting-fault Employee Recruitment Strategies: How to Attract (& Retain) Top Talent by Margaret Jacoby https://www.huffpost.com/entry/employee-recruitment-stra_b_8823994 Why Retention Will Be The Biggest Talent Challenge Of 2017 by Lars Schmidt https://www.forbes.com/sites/larsschmidt/2016/12/16/why-retention-will-be-the-biggest-talent-challenge-of-2017/#465db24c6ae4 Part Two: For this assignment, you are going to analyze one of the most important aspects of human resources management, recruiting and retaining top employee talent. Please provide a list of recommended strategies which should be used by human resources professionals to recruit and retain top employee talent. Based upon your studies of leadership, what is the role of a leader or leaders in recruiting and retaining top employee talent? What has been your own experience related to recruitment practices, as to what you have found to be effective?

Describe a recommended decision-making strategy or process you would use as a leader.

Leadership and Decision-Making One of the assigned textbook chapters this week addressed leadership and decision-making, which you will analyze further for this assignment. Part One: Please review the following resources: 4 Ways For Leaders to Make a Decision by Brent Gleeson https://www.forbes.com/sites/brentgleeson/2012/11/07/4-ways-for-leaders-to-make-a-decision/#38752c244d4a 6 Ways to Make Hard Decisions Easier as a Leader by Jayson DeMers https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/294131 This is How the Most Successful Leaders Make Tough Decisions by Simon Berg https://fortune.com/2015/12/09/successful-leaders-tough-decisions/ Part Two: Every leader must make decisions, some which are routine in nature, and others which are critical to the operations of the organization or business. How can a leader make tough or critical decisions more effectively? Describe a recommended decision-making strategy or process you would use as a leader. Would you use this process or strategy with programmed decisions, non-programmed decisions, or both, and why?

Create a Comic strip based on IFRS Concept

PART II: COMICS (80%) Choose 3 IFRS concepts. For each, prepare a comic strip that: (i) Shows the IFRS concept being violated, with a course specific example. (ii) Explain what the problem is with this choice of action. (iii) Then, show the audience how to correct the error. Provide an accounting entry, where possible.

Discuss the implication of changing the level of significance to a larger value. What mistake or error could increase if the level of significance is increased?

Quality Associates, Inc. is a consulting firm that advises its clients about sampling and statistical procedures that can be used to control manufacturing processes. In one case, a client provided Quality Associates with a sample of 800 observations that were taken during a time when the client’s process was operating satisfactorily. The sample standard deviation for these data was .21, hence, the population standard deviation was assumed to be .21. Quality Associates then suggested that random samples of size 30 be taken periodically to monitor the process on an ongoing basis. By analyzing the new samples, the client could quickly learn whether the process was operating satisfactorily. When the process was not operating satisfactorily, corrective action could be taken to eliminate the problem. The design specification indicated that the mean for the process should be 12. The hypothesis test suggested by Quality Associates follows. H0: μ = 12 Ha: μ ≠ 12 Corrective action will be taken any time H0 is rejected. The following samples were collected at hourly intervals during the first day of operation of the new statistical process control procedure. The data file containing samples is available as an excel attachment for easy upload into Mintab. Managerial Report 1. Conduct a hypothesis test for each sample at the .01 level of significance and determine what action, if any, should be taken. Provide the test statistic and p-value for each test. 2. Compute the standard deviation for each of the four samples. Does the assumption of .21 for the population standard deviation appear reasonable? 3. Compute limits for the sample mean x̄ around μ = 12 such that, as long as a new sample mean is within those limits, the process will be considered to be operating satisfactorily. If the x̄ exceeds the upper limit or if x̄ is below the lower limit, corrective action will be taken. These limits are referred to as upper and lower control limits for quality control purposes. 4. Discuss the implication of changing the level of significance to a larger value. What mistake or error could increase if the level of significance is increased?

Explore the relationship between Hamlet and Ophelia.

Explore the relationship between Hamlet and Ophelia. Think about the following: Does he love her then stop loving her? What is revealed about Hamlet by the encounters we see between Ophelia and him? What is revealed about Ophelia? What is revealed about Hamlet and Ophelia in Ophelia’s descriptions of encounters we don’t see? Do Hamlet and Ophelia have sex? In what way, if any, does Hamlet’s being sent to England and his responsibility for Polonius’ death have to do with Ophelia’s drowning? For example, in Act 3, Scene1, Hamlet denies ever having given Ophelia anything and treats her shabbily. Shakespeare gives Ophelia a soliloquy, “O, what a noble mind is here o’erthrown” (3.1.150-162). Explore the meaning of this speech and what it tells us about Ophelia’s feelings for Hamlet.
