My prompt is To talk about oedipus as ideal tragic hero. Should be a character having both good and bad qualities in combination. Should be noble by birth. He should suffer(as a result of tragic flaw). The reversal and knowledge gained in the play should cause within the audience a catharsis.Body para #1 – topic sentence that provides the main idea. Body para #3 – now talking about the criterion( singular version) of Oedipus being noble. Here you might not only quote from the play but also the article as this counts as points. Body para #4 – here you need to transition from the idea of despite Oedipus being noble, he suffers from a tragic flaw. You need to include the vocabulary word that means tragic flaw. You need to define what a tragic flaw and give evidence of Oedipus having this flaw and eventually suffering from it. His suffering is amplified by the reversal (provide vocabulary word – quote?), and worsened by his full knowledge of the tragedy ( provide vocabulary word – quote?),. Interpret your quotes and provide a concluding sentence. Conclusion- Revisit the ideas of the thesis. So what about it? Why do we as an audience need an idea tragic hero?
