Discuss how a previous educational experience positively or negatively impacted your being literate within a particular academic or extracurricular community.

Rhetorical Situation: For the first Major Writing Assignment (MWA1), you will compose a literacy narrative that tells a compelling, detailed personal story about reading, writing, composing, or communicating within a particular discourse community (See topic suggestions below). The intended audience is readers of the Digital Archive of Literacy Narratives (DALN). Purpose: Your rhetorical purpose in this assignment is to inform (DALN) readers of how learning the discourse of a particular community impacted your life. Furthermore, writing about the event encourages you to reflect on your own literacy practices—to consider how the ability to decode and encode language within particular contexts influences your identity and ability/inability to gain access to and participate in a particular discourse community (e.g., academic, professional, or extracurricular communities).    Topic Suggestions: How acquiring literacy in a particular high school course impacted your life; How a previous educational experience positively or negatively impacted your being literate within a particular academic or extracurricular community; How a literacy sponsor helped initiate you into a particular discourse community; How you functioned as a literacy sponsor for someone else; How a book or text has been significant to you; How you found (or still find) a particular writing or reading task especially difficult or challenging; How joining a particular discourse community (e.g., sports team, Greek organization, academic club, skaters, musicians, church group, volunteer organization, gamers, etc.) by learning the lingo and its ways of thinking and behaving either positively or negatively impacted your life or others’ lives; How learning or failing to learn a foreign language impacted your life or others’ lives; How using or misusing a particular social medium negatively or positively impacted your life or others’ lives; or, Other ideas you generate. * Please keep in mind that you are not expected to divulge sensitive and/or private information about yourself or someone else. The assignment is broad enough for you to select a focus that you feel comfortable sharing with DALN readers. Content/Arrangement: The narrative should explore an event surrounding literacy (as defined in class). The narrative should have a thesis, which addresses the importance of this literacy event either for you personally or for the intended readers. The narrative should have a title and an introductory paragraph that promote interest. The narrative should include narrative strategies (e.g., chronological ordering, use of flashback, vivid description, and/or dialogue) to describe the literacy event, the activity(ies) you took part in, and the people (or characters) involved. The narrative should relay the importance/meaning of the experience for you and/or the intended readers. Length: This narrative should be 3-5 double-spaced, word-processed pages. Format: Your literacy narrative should contain the following: 1” margins; a 12pt, readable font (Arial, Cambria, Calibri, or Times New Roman); a heading in the upper left hand corner (on the first page only) that notes your name, course title and number; and date narrative is submitted (See the example below.); and page numbers preceded by your last name located in the upper right hand corner of each page.

Finally, explain how the combination of the three intelligence assets will work together to provide a better understanding of the threat, the methods, and capabilities of ISIS/ISIL. Develop a Request For Intelligence (RFI). Based on your analysis of the threat, voids in intelligence on the threat, and the available intelligence assets, develop a specific request for intelligence (RFI) from the appropriate intelligence agencies to identify future intelligence requirements. Discuss the effect of COVID-19 on clinical pharmacists.

How COVID-19 affected the job of clinical pharmacists, including residents. As an example, how it affected the communication between the clinical pharmacist and patients. We had to reduce the interaction and keep social distancing as much as possible. On the other hand, We had to make some changes to the medical computer system, like adding the patient’s room phone number to ease the communication. Another example is how we switched all our meetings to be online; this can be advantageous because more clinical pharmacists can participate and attend without leaving their work station. We allowed to work remotely for better social distancing and allow parents to be with their kids when school was closed. We had to do flexing and decrease the working hours due to the financial burden, but that increased the clinical pharmacist’s overall tasks because they need to cover more floors and patients and duties to have the same level of patient care. This type of work needs high levels of flexibility and adaptability. The importance of transparency as protective measurements, any updates were shared through the weekly meetings. Also, this pandemic was an excellent opportunity to create opportunities to conduct trials and research, especially that we started using a different medication (approved medication for unapproved indication). Pharmacy residents have challenges now with the learning experience. As an example, most of the patient rounds became online, and communication became challenging.  In conclusion, I want to list the challenges and the opportunities that the clinical pharmacists and the resident are experiencing during this pandemic.  I would appreciate it if there is a paragraph about students. Most hospitals did not allow them to come to the hospitals and most of the internship became remotely, But our hospital was allowing students to come and learn with some restrictions.

Describe Effective patient care.

Effective patient care, safety, and experience is dependent upon the work and effort of numerous healthcare departments and workers including but not limited to medical practitioners, nurses, medical assistants, medical laboratory technicians, coding and billing specialists, and medical administrative assistants. Proper communication, respect, and teamwork is necessary for a clinic to operate efficiently and effectively. Please read the following patient scenario: You witnessed a coworker’s (Michael – who works in your department) interaction with another coworker, Flora, who works in a different department. Michael was very rude, disrespectful, and mad because he was arguing that Flora didn’t communicate important patient information to your department and caused a patient to have an extended wait time. Flora was obviously disturbed and hurt by this interaction and you know it wasn’t her fault, but rather Michael’s. Please discuss the following concepts in 1-2 pages: Identify and briefly describe two issues or concepts associated with the breakdown of teamwork in this scenario. How would you use internal customer service skills, tools, and techniques to resolve this issue? How can good and poor internal customer service affect patient experience and outcomes?
