Were you correct? Did the court find the way you thought they would find? Did they do so for the same reasons? Post a reflective post on your analysis of the case versus the court’s analysis.

Discuss findings that might contradict your assumptions about writing in the two disciplines.

Introduction:The goal of this essay is to consider the shifts in conventional expectations for writing across two disciplines that focus on the same topic. The essay should be 3 full pages in length. You will write this paper in MLA styleEssay Assignment:After reading the articles, “Bullying and PTSD Symptoms” and “Linguistic Manipulation: PTSD and the Re-Training of Warriors,” compose a comparative rhetorical analysis. The rhetorical analysis should:1. Discuss how well the features of structure, language and reference compare and contrast. That is, how well do the features on the conventions chart fit the articles read?2. Be organized around the three areas of convention – structure, language and reference.3. Clearly show comparisons and contrasts with examples from the articles.4. Show the importance of your findings. For example, if the humanities is defined by using figurative, creative language, what does this say about this discipline?5. Discuss Threat and Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment for Carson City Nevada United States of America ON WILDFIRES.

As you research the Hazard and do your Risk Assessment, it will become clear where changes or improvements to plans can be made, or what new plans could be created. The idea is to apply the results of your THIRA. What phases of Emergency Management would take the greatest emphasis? Remember that we apply what we learn in a tHIRa to all four phases of Emergency management: What kind of Mitigation projects; what Preparedness actions can be taken with the public and Responders; What kind of Response capabilities might be needed, and how would we train for it (drills, exercises, etc.); and what kind Recovery plans might be needed…what resources available and who would be involved, including insurance and federal aid (disaster declaration). Give me ideas how to apply your analysis to all four. Don’t make stuff up: look at what other communities have done for the particular threat/hazard.Why do we do this? Preparing for the Hazard is our job; but we can’t do anything without funding. Doing a THIRA, then developing plans and taking steps to implement the plans takes funding. How do you convince your elected officials, grant institutions, and the public to fund the steps to manage the threat? Having facts and a solid Risk Analysis is what allows you to convince others to support your plans.

develop your critical reading skills as you seek to answer why your sources disagree

It’s a mini-historiography. Here is a decent one page explanation of what a historiography strives to do: https://qcpages.qc.cuny.edu/writing/history/critical/historiography.html (Links to an external site.)What you are going to do is pick one historical figure or event and find six sources that offer their explanation/interpretation of things. They are going to disagree on certain aspects and may offer seemingly contradictory views. That’s fine and in fact, that’s sort of what you are going for. A historiography does NOT seek to give “the answer” nor asks the author to provide their “answer” (an analytical essay asks you do to this, you will write one later in the course). Instead, a historiography paper strives to present how a historical topic is understood. A good historiography will notes the differences in interpretations, compare and contrast them, and perhaps comment on the significance of those differences. You aren’t being ask to provide your own assessment. Instead you are asked to explore several sometimes contradictory sources. The purpose of an historiographic essay is threefold:1.) to allow you to view an historical event or issue from multiple perspectives by engaging multiple sources2.) to display your mastery over those sources and over the event itself3.) to develop your critical reading skills as you seek to answer why your sources disagree, and what their disagreement tells you about the event or issue and the very nature of history itself. This is only 4 pages so don;t kill yourself or feel you are the one that’s all of a sudden going to reconcile the 200+ years of divergent opinion on say Robespierre or the Great Terror during the French revolution.Just let me know that you have a grasp of the different interpretations and what those differences may tell us about the bigger picture and you’ll do fine.
