Discuss the impacts of Developing Relevant Cash Flows for Part-Time Students.

Developing Relevant Cash Flows for Part-Time Student Company’s Machine Renewal or Replacement Decision Mclovin, chief financial officer of Part-Time Student Company (PTSC), expects the firm’s net profits after taxes for the next 5years to be as shown in the following table.Year Net profits after taxes1 $100,0002 $150,0003 $200,0004 $250,0005 $320,000Mclovin is beginning to develop the relevant cash flows needed to analyze whether to renew or replace PTSC’s onlydepreciable asset, a machine that originally cost $30,000, has a current book value of zero, and can now be sold for $20,000. (Note:Because the firm’s only depreciable asset is fully depreciated—its book value is zero—its expected net profits after taxes equal itsoperating cash inflows.) He estimates that at the end of 5 years. Mclovin plans to use the following information to develop therelevant cash flows for each of the alternatives.Alternative 1 Renew the existing machine at a total depreciable cost of $90,000. The renewed machine would have a 5-yearusable life and depreciated under MACRS using a 5-year recovery period. Renewing the machine would result in the followingprojected revenues and expenses (excluding depreciation):Year Revenue Expenses(excluding depreciation)1 $1,000,000 $801,5002 1,175,000 884,2003 1,300,000 918,1004 1,425,000 943,1005 1,550,000 968,100The renewed machine would result in an increased investment of $15,000 in net working capital. At the end of 5 years, the machinecould be sold to net $8,000 before taxes.Alternative 2 Replace the existing machine with a new machine costing $100,000 and requiring installation costs of $10,000.The new machine would have a 5-year usable life and be depreciated under MACRS using a 5-year recovery period. The firm’sprojected revenues and expenses (excluding depreciation), if it acquires the machine, would be as follows:Year Revenue Expenses(excluding depreciation)1 $1,000,000 $764,5002 1,175,000 839,8003 1,300,000 914,9004 1,425,000 989,9005 1,550,000 998,900 The new machine would result in an increased investment of $22,000 in net working capital. At the end of 5 years, the new machinecould be sold to net $25,000 before taxes. The weighted average cost of capital will be given to your group when you email me orprovide the names of your group to me in class; the marginal tax rate is 40%.Find the NPV, IRR, MIRR, payback and discounted payback for both alternatives. Which alternative should be selected? Explain.

How do the characteristics and behavior of bosons relate to the light sabers in the Star Wars movies and why are these light saber fights an insult to physicists everywhere?

We recently learned about 3 fundamental or “elementary” particles that make up much of nature (protons, neutrons and electrons). These, however are not the only elementary particles known and though not nearly as common, there are many more and physicist have spent many years discovering and then classifying these particles into two major categories, fermions and bosons. In fact, a couple of years back, in an episode of the “Big Bang Theory”, Sheldon makes a comment: “ I can prove to you that I’m a physicist, go ahead and ask me the difference between a fermion and boson.” You are also undoubtedly familiar with the scenes from the many nauseating “Star Wars” movies where the good guys battle the bad guys with “light sabers”, not to mention the numerous other violations of the laws of physics. As you might have guessed by now I am definitely not a fan of Star Wars. Star Trek shows on the other hand have made every effort to make sure that whatever futuristic scenes they have shown even dating back to the 60s series do not violate fundamental laws of physics and some have become reality after a few decades. This is why I am a fan of Star Trek. For your next assignment please research and write a couple of paragraphs addressing the following questions that strangely tie the above two observations, please make sure you clearly and concisely answer each question1. What are fermions and bosons and what are the key differences between them?2. How do the characteristics and behavior of bosons relate to the light sabers in the Star Wars movies and why are these light saber fights an insult to physicists everywhere?

Discuss the Impact of Perceived Consensus on Stereotypes About Obese People:A New Approach for Reducing Bias.

For this assignment, you will be reading an article that relates to course material we have covered this year. Once you read the article, you will provide a summary (this does not mean copy and paste; it should be a concise, clear, organized summary that shows you understood the article) then provide your reaction to the article. Then you will come up with some discussion questions that you have thought of that relates to the topic of the article. These questions are not questions that you could find the answers to IN the article (example questions: “What are your emotional reactions?” “Do you agree or disagree with the results?”, “Why or why not?”, “Can you relate anything from the article to your own life, experiences, and/or development?”, “Did anything you read challenge you?”. THEN you need to answer the questions to let me know what you hypothesize the answers to your questions to be. 12 point font, double-spacedJust use the article as the one sourcePuhl, R.M., Schwartz, M.B., & Brownell, K.D. What were its strengths and weaknesses of Alan Brinkley’s John F. Kennedy.

Read, and then read again, if necessary, Alan Brinkley’s John F. Kennedy. 2. Write a review of Brinkley’s book. The review should be about 1,000-1,200 words long. That is about five typed pages, double-spaced, with 12 point font. Good English does count. Organize the report in your own way, but try to include the following: — the book’s complete publishing information in proper format; — a summary of the book’s narrative; — some excerpts from the book with proper citation; — information about the author; — description of the author’s sources, documentation, and accuracy; — description of the author’s style and organization; — your own evaluation of the book. What were its strengths and weaknesses? Were you entertained, informed, spellbound, bored, confused, or wharever as you read it?

Looking ahead to the next week (week beginning 5/12), the theme of the week “Emotional Disability,” which is a disability where children have difficulty regulating their emotions or behaviors, and this gets in the way of their learning at school. It is a very broad category that can include several different clinical diagnoses such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, conduct disorder, aggressive behaviors, and even childhood schizophrenia. Please read my PowerPoint lecture slides titled “Emotional Disturbance (Disability).” These slides are under the links “Course Materials” -> “Lecture Slides.” Please make sure to read the “Notes” section of the slides, and also follow the link to the video on the last page of the slides. In addition, in the PDF textbook on Blackboard, please read Ch.5 p.117-118, and Ch.6 p.148-160. If you are using the physical textbook, please read Ch.5 p.97-98, and Ch.6 p.123-134. In Ch.5, reading the heading “Emotional Disturbance and Behavioral Disorder.” In Ch.6, start at the heading “Behavioral Disorders.” Based on this reading, I ask the group leaders to create five discussion questions for your group members.

Based on last week’s reading, you now have an idea of the role of the APRN, and legal/professional issues in prescribing.

Based on last week’s reading, you now have an idea of the role of the APRN, and legal/professional issues in prescribing. As a future nurse practitioner, you have the authority, based on your state nurse practice act, to prescribe medications for the patients for whom you will provide care, and the responsibility of prescriptive authority is more than just simply writing a prescription correctly.Important Links:https://www.flsenate.gov/Committees/BillSummaries/2016/html/1424http://ojin.nursingworld.org/MainMenuCategories/ANAMarketplace/ANAPeriodicals/OJIN/TableofContents/Vol-19-2014/No2-May-2014/Barriers-to-NP-Practice.htmlhttps://floridasnursing.gov/new-legislation-impacting-your-profession/https://www.aanp.org/advocacy/advocacy-resource/position-statements/nurse-practitioner-prescriptive-privilegeDiscuss the role of advanced practice nursing in safe prescribing and 3 prescribing barriers for APRNs.2.
