Explain why you chose your particular example and why it is important to include an aspect of social change in both career and personal endeavors.

Provide another scholarly article that supports my position like the one I put at the very bottomTry to do before 12 am or less than 2 hours est. The fix is simple. These were the original directions:Submit a 1- to 2-page paper that discusses a particular aspect of your chosen professional role within the context of social change. For example, you might discuss being a counselor who provides pro-bono counseling to abused women or being a sports psychologist who offers visualization training for at-risk youth involved in school sports.Explain why you chose your particular example and why it is important to include an aspect of social change in both career and personal endeavors. Next, explain the particular web map of social activity that would result from your chosen example. For example, if you choose to provide pro-bono services, will this fall high on humane ethics? Scholarship? Explain why you chose those area(s). The APA’s Ethical Code of Conduct specifically states that the rights and dignity of all people should be respected. Furthermore mental health should not only be accessible to those who can afford it. I have an interest in promoting positive social change and affecting entire communities. I feel that this would be best carried out by providing mental health to the underserved populations and populations that have been traditionally underrepresented. I am focusing on the topic of this essay on the general practice of counseling psychologists that provide counseling services to those who are low income, particularly those that work in government organizations or charities. There is a serious epidemic of mental illness for people who are below the poverty line (Jaspal 2018). Over 30% of people at work who don’t have a mental health issue struggled with feelings such as irritability (Jaspal 2018). When low income people have access to these services then it can promote social change for equality as well as help to prevent serious mental disorders and even violence in the workplace. It can greatly help with workplace stress and health related disorders which can improve the quality of life of individuals. We have a war on poverty. Winning this war is very essential to social change to the very vast majority of people. Somebody in this role would be helping to do just that. Through my own volunteer experiences I found that I could greatly improve the economic conditions of individuals and their livelihood by providing culturally relevant mental health counseling. It is also through my life experiences that I have witnessed the effects of a lack of mental health care on individuals and the gap between supply and demand to sustain healthy individuals and communities. Social change could occur on a widespread level if there were more mental health counselors in general. However this would be especially true if there were those who were committed to serving low income people and perhaps some free sessions. Those who provide counseling to these individuals could potentially help to increase the class levels or prevent their condition from worsening as well as be a help to a group of people such as a family that the individual has come into contact with. This can improve communities, prevent violence, and make it safer to live for everybody. Moreover this is a major step toward equality and perfecting the constitution. One can easily speculate the reasons why this type of counselor could help provide equality for individuals and others as well.It is important to include social change in your career and personal endeavors because it will greatly help to change the world around you. I have given examples of how my commitment to social change would improve the quality of not just individuals but communities as well. When you commit to solving issues that need an answer and especially ones that have been an impediment to individuals in society you are improving life for all humans. For example, Martin Luther King Jr. did not just want to have a job. Martin Luther King Jr wanted to embark in social change. He could have easily picked up a degree and lived off a salary while sitting back and watching his fellow citizens suffer, which included the poor. I am sure that Martin Luther King Jr. would be proud that I wish to embark in the journey to pursue the role I have chosen. It is important that you embark in social change to make a better man and so that life can be greatly improved. Just as science has improved the world around us social change has as well. Technology is not good without positive social implications and social change. We can help to eradicate human ignorance by embarking in social change, not just for ourselves but for society as a whole. Barack Obama once quoted that the changes that we see today as it relates to the LGBT community is from small ripples of change and individual contributions over the years to create a ripple of lasting change (Politico). I remember the Walden advertisements that tell the stories of individuals’ contributions to society and how “one person can make a difference.” I agree with those Alumni I hope to soon be a part of – one person can make a difference. Even though it may be superstition it can be very true that what you put out comes right back rather in the form of better pay, desegregation, another mass violent attack avoided on your community, or a general better life for yourself. When change is initiated great things can happen. Next, explain the particular web map of social activity that would result from your chosen example. For example, if you choose to provide pro-bono services, will this fall high on humane ethics? Scholarship? Explain why you chose those area(s). There is no need to create the actual web map diagram. I find that there would be social activity in all 8 areas of social change activity. However I particularly find that it would be highest in practice and humane ethics. The counseling psychology subspeciality is high on practice. Counseling psychologists apply what they have learned every single day of work. They take theories and other types of information and apply them. It is also highly useful or practitioner based degree programs. In fact licensure requirements for counseling psychologists have a high practice component that requires mastery. States require counseling psychologists to be able to master the practice of counseling in order to not be penalized under law. Malpractice is a big area concern in the field of counseling psychology. Practicing on people who do not usually receive treatment has a lot to do with promoting social change. There needs to be change in mental health counseling psychology in order to promote a healthy lifestyle for those who have been traditionally known to have a lower quality of life because of poverty (Poor People’s Campaign); the counselor could very well help with the cycles of incarceration and poverty.

What is the main claim or final conclusion of the editorial?

This week’s discussion question is an exercise in logical analysis. When we engage in a logical analysis, we want to first put aside whether or not we agree with the argument. Instead, we want to analyze the structure of an argument. By doing this, we can determine the type of reasoning and whether or not the argument is sound. Please complete the following:Find an editorial opinion from a credible local or national newspaper. Identify the topic of the editorial, the media source, date, and author.Note: Be sure that the source you choose is an editorial opinion, not a news story. See this example https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/dec/12/the-guardian-view-on-global-warming-time-is-running-outUse standard argument form to present your own argument as you paraphrase the conclusion or main claim and the premises. Be sure to address the following information in your analysis:What is the main claim or final conclusion of the editorial? What are the supporting premises for the main claim? What premises are missing? What type of argument is this? Deductive? Inductive? Is the argument made in the editorial valid? Sound? What critiques of the premises or conclusions do you have? After analyzing the structure of the argument, consider whether you see common ground with your own perspectives and where you see room to make counter claims.
