As behavior analysts, we frequently use operant conditioning to teach new behaviors (and eliminate old behaviors) by manipulating the consequences that follow them. Do you think schools should simply list ingredients or should they strive to serve meal alternatives? I’m not sure a meal alternative would be acceptable for kosher Jews, because there are rules about how to keep a kosher kitchen and they require not even storing dairy and meat products together and using different dishes and utensils for them. No school kitchen, unless it was strictly vegan, would be kosher. A vegan kitchen is kosher because kosher dietary laws restrict animal products, not vegetable products. What do you think?
