HIS 306. For this project you will investigate one campaign and/or organization. You will contextualize this organization (how does our course help explain its founding? How does it relate to course materials?), focusing specifically on how the organizers frame the problem/issue they are addressing (why did they form? What are their goals?) and the strategies they deploy to address the issue (is it a media campaign, a grassroots effort, an effort to influence public policy, etc?). The idea is for you analyze how established organizations have addressed key social justice and equity issues, and to identify any gaps (in terms of strategy, or in terms of framing the issue) that might exist.
