You will choose a social group that is different from yours (a group that is different from you in terms of race, ethnicity, gender and gender expression, sexual orientation, religion, age, ability). You will immerse yourself in that group, learning about historical and contemporary dynamics of that group. Then you will identify a critical issue that is currently impacting that group. This activity is designed to help you develop new areas of multicultural competence, and it will serve as a precursor to your final social action project.”
