Write a paper in which you discuss the various methods that you can use to convert numbers between number bases.

Write a paper in which you discuss the various methods that you can use to convert numbers between number bases. Be sure to include a discussion of at least three different conversion methods and provide a conversion example for each method that you explain. You should discuss both converting from base 10 to another type of number base, as well as converting another type of number base to base 10. Include binary to decimal and binary to hexadecimal as two of your conversion examples. In a final paragraph, explain why it is important that you, as an IT professional, understand numeric conversion methods.

Identify the independent and dependent variables in the study. Amie Da Silva

Hello,

This is a group project and I am in responsible to answer this discussion question only. Identify the independent and dependent variables in the study. Amie Da Silva . I will send you the email of the article my group selected . Thank you

Week 10 is a group assignment. Last week, you explored key factors that contribute to patient safety challenges using root cause analysis. This week builds on that foundational awareness with a focus on the application of evidence-based practice models as a strategy to improve patient safety and other quality dimensions. In this Discussion, consider how these strategies can sustain practice changes.
To prepare:
Read: Newhouse, R.P. (2007) Diffusing confusion among evidence-based practice, quality improvement and research. JONA 37,432-535
Read: Mazurek Melynk B., Gallagher-Ford, L., English Long, L., & Fineout-Overholt, E. (2014) The establishment of Evidence-Based practice competencies for practicing registered nurses and advanced practice nurses in real world clinical settings: proficiencies to improve healthcare quality, reliability, patient outcomes, and costs. Worldviews on Evidence-Based Nursing 11(1),5-15.
We all agree that research is the highest form of reliable evidence, when implemented in an organization that provides the basis for an evidence based practice. As a group: FIND a research study published in a peer reviewed journal related to a clinical practice problem that is of interest to the group, and which would ultimately contribute to an evidence based practice.
The discussion assignment:
ANSWER the following discussion questions as a group: (as a team, post your responses by Sunday at midnight). Include the research study in your post (attach it to the post and post it in doc sharing). See page 11 #15 in Mazurek Melynk, Gallagher Ford, English Long and Fineout-Overholt. In this assignment, you are being asked to critically appraise a single research study for its relevance to a QI practice problem.
Each member of the team must participate (weekly rules for discussion) on the group discussion board in order to get full credit.
Discussion questions:
What was the purpose of the research?
Identify the independent and dependent variables in the study.
Briefly describe the research design, data collection method(s), and instruments used to measure the variables under study.
Briefly summarize study findings, conclusions and recommendations. Do you agree with these?
As a DNP prepared nurse, would you recommend a change in nursing practice based on the study? Defend and/or justify your decision based on research evaluation principles. In other words, does the evidence generated by this research article signify a need to change nursing practice? If not, why not; if so, why?

Compare and contrast best fit (contingency) and best practices (universalist) approaches to SHRM.

Please select ONE from a choice of two titles:- 1. Critically analyse how the political and economic macro factors impact on management choices in HR strategy in a commercial organisation. Critically review the influences from the external environment in answering the question. OR 2. Compare and contrast best fit (contingency) and best practices (universalist) approaches to SHRM. Drawing upon the key assumption of these approaches, evaluate the suitability of each approach in helping HR contribute to successful organisation performance. Essay 1 – Very brief definition of HR strategy and what are Political and Economic factors in a macro (strategic) sense. A brief discussion of management choices i.e. those things within the control of the organisation. Explain how a commercial firm has less/more control of macro factors. Outline the main Political and Economic macro factors that affect HRM by showing how a company has responded which you then develop as an argument. Evidence of research into appropriate sources. Essay 2 – Brief description of both models using appropriate academic sources. Clear focus on the similarities and differences. A clear choice of one model and application to a commercial organisation. Development of an argument as to how and why the chosen model applies. Evidence of research into appropriate sources. Mere reiteration of the assumptions of the theories will not be sufficient. It is expected that the theories are evaluated, based on the extent to which their implementation would help HR to contribute to organisational performance Demonstration of clear understanding of the two theories is very important Use of examples to illustrate your arguments in highly recommended Focus on depth not breadth Evidence of critical analysis is required Evidence of wider reading (text books, academic journals, etc) These should be correctly referenced according to the Harvard convention Be aware of the assessment criteria

Write a memo justifying ethical decisions within IT consulting.

You are the lead consultant for an IT consulting firm that specializes in software. Pearson Waters, Inc. is a large, national company that offers property and casualty insurance to businesses and individuals. Your consulting team was hired by Pearson Waters to investigate the possibility of specialized productivity software for their employees to use in storing and retrieving customer data and product details, as well as performing various estimates to show to customers. After researching options, the company approved the design of a new software package, which your team has just now completed. While you are wrapping up the project, you make some shocking discoveries: Some of the programming code completed by your team was actually copied from another company’s proprietary software. Two images used in the Employee Instruction Booklet were randomly found on the Internet, and no permission was secured for their use. These are clear ethics violations. To rectify the situation, you were forced to fire the programmer who stole the code, hire another programmer to ethically rewrite that part of the software package, reprimand the employee who stole the images, locate alternative images for which permission was granted, and reprint the Employee Instruction Booklet. Write a memo to your team about the above situation. Follow all instructions below and make sure you have also completed the unit reading: Your wording must be professional: give facts, explain ramifications, and refrain from emotional writing. Do not name the guilty employees or even specify their jobs; the idea is to explain the situation, not to write anything that could leave you open to a future lawsuit. The length of the body of your memo must be no less than 250 words and no more than 350 words. Do not use sources – this must be written entirely in your own words without reference to any sources or quotes. Organize your memo to include separate paragraphs for each of the following: Briefly explain the issues that were found Explain how the issues were resolved Explain how these issues affect the client Explain how these issues affect your company Follow the “deductive” method of writing, with most important information at the beginning of each paragraph. Write with full sentences, and do not include any lists.
