Discuss the Greek Culture.

You have learned about Plato, Aristotle and other philosophers within the Greek culture. Some people say, “We should not study and learn about the secular philosophies taught by the Greeks because they are not Christian based.” Do you agree or disagree with this statement?

What are some of the limitations of the Red List in determining the state of species diversity?

1. Take some time to explore the IUCN’s Red List (http://www.iucnredlist.org/). You can specify search criteria byclicking on “ADVANCED” beside the search bar near the top of the webpage. You can search for species by taxonomy, location, habitat, threats, etc. The following page will appear:2. Choose TWO species (one from kingdom Animalia and one from kingdom Plantae) and find the following informationabout the species. Pick species for which you can find all of the information.• its scientific (must be italicized and first part capitalized) and common name• its current status (e.g. endangered, least concern, etc.) and what that status title means• its last assessment date• if it has changed status since on the list (and if so, what its previous status was) – if applicable• where in the world your species is found• the type of habitat it lives in• if the population is increasing/decreasing/stable• its major threats• any conservation effortsSummarize this information in a table and include as an appendix in your paper. Do NOT just copy the informationfrom the website. You must rephrase the information in your own words where possible. *Make sure to include areference, and use APA formatting when creating your table.3. Your three-page paper will reflect on the following questions:• After exploring the IUCN’s Red List website, what impression do you get about the state of species biodiversityglobally? Why? Base you answer on your exploration of the Red List site. Support your statements. Give anexample or two to help illustrate your points.• What are the implications of this state of species diversity (i.e. what does it mean for now and for the future?)?• What are some of the limitations of the Red List in determining the state of species diversity?• How might the Red List be used practically? Give a few examples.• How representative do you think the Red List is of the state of biodiversity globally (biodiversity as a whole)? Why? Justify your discussion. Your conclusion should be supported by appropriate sources and course material.

What are the six actions that should be taken to create a national and/or state policy agenda about the educational preparation of unlicensed assistive personnel and the competencies they should have for safe practice?

It is consistent with application in research related to its context. Clarity of ideas. Comprehensive, in-depth and wide ranging. *-Tone is consistent, addressed professionally and objectively. Evidence in literature supports arguments. *-Excellent mechanics, sentence structure and organization with no grammatical mistakes.Question:Unlicensed Assistive Personnel and the Registered Nurse The increased use of unlicensed assistive personnel presents both opportunities and challenges for the American health care system. The nurse manager has to deal with the challenge that unlicensed assistive personnel only be used to provide personal care needs or nursing tasks that do not require the skill and judgment of the RN.1. The nurse manager reviews the national effort to define the scope of practice for unlicensed assistive personnel. In 2007, the American Nurses Association made recommendations for a national and/or state policy for nursing assistive personnel. This is critical to ensure the clients’ needs are met and their safety is not jeopardized. What are the key general principles that the nurse manager needs to review with professional registered nurses in delegating to unlicensed assistive personnel?

Have our senses become dull from overexposure, or honed to razor sharp keenness?

Over the past few weeks we’ve seen some graphic works that have elicited strong, and sometimes violent, reactions to the designers and movements (and sometimes a typeface) simply because of the style… the way the design looked; in Germany with the Bauhaus School (“cultural Bolsheviks”, “revolutionaries”) and the New Typography led by Jan Tschichold (arrested by Nazis, called an “anarchist”). We’ve also seen how by mid-century in American graphic design, Madison Avenue and avant-garde design firms like Doyle Dane Bernbach revolutionized the world of graphic communication and spawned a wave of new ideas, new voices to communicate to the public, new methods of presenting content that also elicited strong reactions. Form (style) and content… the foundation of graphic design. So I wonder if our visually astute generation (and especially we cosmopolitans who are inundated with hundreds of pieces of graphic design on an almost daily basis) has the capacity to experience such strong reactions (whether positive or negative) to graphic design anymore? Have our senses become dull from overexposure, or honed to razor sharp keenness? Choose one (preferably contemporary) graphic work that you have had a strong reaction to, either visually or conceptually, or (preferably) both. This could have been a positive reaction, or a negative one. Aim to choose a graphic work of exceptional quality, or, well, one that you think is an exceptional failure. Ideally your choice could be any work we may (generally) consider “graphic design”: firstly, any printed work (posters, flyers, or billboards, book/magazine/or newspaper covers, ads, or editorials, etc.), web sites, web ads, logos, app design including icons… I’d expand the field here to include package design as well; album covers, food packages, etc..This could be a favorite piece of graphic design you have, or just something you see or have seen, if you can remember it. Think about form and content, and their effect on the viewer…on you, personally. What is it about the look of it that attracts or repels you? Specifically explain your answer in detail. Describe the visual elements of the work (line, shape, color, balance, harmony, etc), and explain WHY you think (you may not know, or have given it much thought) it attracts/repels you. What is it about the content that elicits a strong reaction? Remember our discussion in class regarding “identity” and how our individual identity is linked to design, and “familiarity’ with graphic elements that we associate with. This may include observations on your personal sense of style, and how this work reflects or contrasts that. Try to define your “demographic’ that advertisers and designers are targeting. Think about the idea of “conspicuous consumption”, and how image and product are linked through graphic design. Students must answer the initial question: Have our senses become dull from overexposure, or honed to razor sharp keenness?, Explain your answer as it pertains to your choice. All external references must be properly cited. Remember, information from other sources is necessary, but I want you to discuss the work in your own words as much as possible. Work will be thoroughly checked for plagiarism. Assignment:Choose example. Write an essay (min. 500 words) describing your choice, why you have chosen it, and answer the initial question: Have our senses become dull from overexposure, or honed to razor sharp keenness?

Describe Strategic Planning Process.

The strategic planning process begins with an environmental-scanning to gather information from internal and external sources. Based on the scanning results, long-range, midrange, and short-range forecasts can be created to provide the information necessary for developing the vision, mission, and goals for the organization, which are needed by functional area managers to set tactical goals and action plans for their business units.Based on an organization’s strategic plan, describe the contributions that HR will need to make to achieve organizational goals.Within your post, support your responses with information from at least two peer-reviewed/scholarly sources (not older than 3-5 years) from the CSU-Global online library (Links to an external site.) or the internet, and provide the full citation at the end of your post. Use the CSU-Global Guide to Writing and APA to format your references. Your total word count must be at least 500 and 600 words excluding the original questions.
