Social Media Communication Messages:
This a three-part assignment to include the following three message compositions:
1. Compose the wording for a “tweet” to be sent by the BCC President to persuade BCC students to complete registration for Fall 2020 classes before the deadline. (this can be done in an MSWord Document)
2. Create an Instagram post (mock-up) to attract potential customers to a hot new tourist destination. You can use MS Word to create your mock-up.
3. Assume you have a fast-casual Latin American restaurant in midtown Manhattan. You want to create a paid Facebook advertisement targeting people of a certain age demographic within proximity to your location, who have indicated an interest in competitor restaurants in midtown Manhattan.
For this example, you opt to target people who have “liked”: Chipotle Mexican Grill, Qdoba Mexican Grill, El Pollo Loco, and Panera, and who are located in a geographical area within 1 mile of your restaurant location, a very small area around part of Central Park. Facebook is telling you there are 32,000 people here that have an interest in those competitor restaurants. The options inside Facebook for being precise in your targeting based on interests, likes, and behaviors are many. This example is just a fraction of what’s possible.
Develop the text and graphic image (e.g. a picture of food image, restaurant interior, etc) for the paid Facebook advertisement with the purpose to generate awareness for your new fast-casual Latin American restaurant, appealing to the targeted psychographic and geo-targeting groups chosen.
