* There are TWO different assignments attached to this order. They go hand in hand.   * I am working on an Applied Management Project. For this project there has been a research plan and an AMP proposal that has already been completed for the project. I have attached a file for both papers for you to go over along with the directions for the completed work.   * For the next portion of the project I need a Problem Statement completed for one assignment and a Case Description for the Applied Management Project for the second assignment.   * Make sure you read over all the information carefully to understand what is needed.      Assignment ONE- Problem Statement   Getting Started:   Development of the problem statement is an important step in the research process, as it is the foundation for the research questions and methodology of the project. The problem statement will set the direction for the remainder of the project.   Background Information:   The problem statement should be written concisely, in one to two sentences, with an additional one to two paragraphs that explain how the problem statement was formulated. Next, the research questions should be written with an explanation of how they were created from the problem statement and how answering these questions will address the problem statement. It is important that the research questions are unbiased and not written as leading questions, and are open-ended, in other words, cannot be answered with a “yes” or a “no”. The researcher may have hypotheses about what the answers to the questions will be, but searching for information that only supports these hypotheses will lead to researcher bias.   Instructions:   In a one-page paper, you should: Create a problem statement to concisely summarize the problem that you are researching. Create a purpose statement to explain how you plan to address the problem within your research. Develop two to three research questions that you will be researching. These questions should be derived from the problem and purpose statements.   End of assignment one   Assignment TWO- Applied Management Project- Case Description    Getting Started:   The case description explains to the reader the importance of the research project. It provides a history of the organization and problem. In some cases, readers may not initially believe there is a problem that needs to be addressed. In this section, you are presenting a case that there is a problem, that it is important for it to be evaluated, and that the results could lead to full or partial resolution of the problem.   Upon successful completion of the course material, you will be able to:   Demonstrate undergraduate research skills by using research sources from your AMP proposal and/or new research sources in your Case Description section draft.   Background Information:   For this assignment, you will combine the information that you created in Assignment 2.3 with your introduction to the research, the results of your historical background research regarding the organization’s history, and the problem evolution.   Instructions:   Prepare the Case Description section of your Applied Management Project. Your Case Description should include research sources from your AMP proposal. Any new sources should be identified in the Case Description. The Case Description section should be four pages in length. Your Case Description should provide a history of the organization as well as when documentation of the problem began appearing in the sources you are using. The following sections are required in the Case Description section: A.   Introduction B.    History of the company, division, or department C.    History of the leadership of the company, division, or department D.   History of the organizational structure of the company (if that information is available) E.    Problem statement (from Assignment ONE) i.               Explanation of the problem within the context of the company and how it has developed throughout the evolution of the company, leader, and structure F.    Purpose statement (from Assignment ONE) G.   Research questions (two to three research questions from Assignment ONE)   End of Assignment TWO     AMP Annotated Outline:    Title Page Format per APA Guidelines.   Table of Contents (Begin the Table of Contents as page 2.) ·      This is a simple listing of the main and subheadings in the paper, keyed to their corresponding page numbers. Number each following page sequentially through the last page of the project.   Case Description (Begin a new page.)   Write the Introduction as a brief, executive summary of the entire case. It should not have too much detail—just enough to cover what the study was about, how the research was done, and what the analysis revealed. ·      Once the project is complete, the introduction can be revised and written in the past tense.   History of the company, division, or department ·      Describe the history of the company, division or department, be sure to include the mission statement of the organization, division, and department.    History of the organizational structure of the company (if that information is available) ·      Explain the overall organizational structure.
