Programme: Online MSc Public Health and Health Promotion Module: Health Promotion Cohort: 2019/20 Health Promotion assessment brief For this assessment, you are required to tackle a health behaviour problem by your choice by designing your own health promotion intervention, using the six steps from intervention mapping. Propose an intervention design, potentially with fictive data and analysis to support your proposal. Submission: Your final Case Study will be an intervention proposal. Write a proposal for your health promoting intervention to tackle the chosen health problem. The proposal should entail: ·  Abstract ·  Introduction of the health behaviour problem ·  Needs assessment; provide a logic model of the problem ·  Specify program outcomes and objectives; provide a logic model of change ·  Design the problem; specify the behaviour change methods and practical applications used for the change objectives ·  Description of the testing phase ·  Budget ·  Implementation strategy ·  Evaluation plan ·  Discussion / Implications of the intervention ·  References Creativity is encouraged! Word length for Proposal: 2,500 words Provision of formative assessment: Students have the opportunity to present the idea for the intervention proposal in a poster format. The tutor provides formative feedback on the intervention plan. Students have the opportunity to produce a poster (A3 size: 11 x 17 inches in a PDF format) based on your self-designed health promotion intervention (as detailed in the case study submission guidelines). The poster must include the following components: Background; Theoretical framework; Intervention; Implementation and evaluation; Policy implications ·  Use of images including graphs and charts are encouraged.
