Part 1: Service Project Experience Chose a charitable or community organization that you believe carries out a servant leadership mission and vision. Part 2: Service Project Presentation Your task will be to create a PowerPoint presentation that shares your findings from your charitable organization research. Each member will present his/her own individual organization. The number of organizations in the presentation depends on the number of Team Members. Please, submit only one presentation per Team. Be sure that you have the latest version before you hit the submit button. You are supposed to collaborate through the Team Forum. Any issues or controversies are resolved by the postings to this forum, so keep your collaborations in the Canvas Classroom (Team Forum). Remember the following quote from Robert K. Greenleaf as you reflect on your charitable organization research: “The difference manifests itself in the care taken by the servant first to make sure that other people’s highest priority needs are being served. The best test, and difficult to administer, is: Do those served grow as persons? Do they, while being served, become healthier, wiser, freer, more autonomous, more likely themselves to become servants? And, what is the effect on the least privileged in society? Will they benefit or at least not be further deprived.” Address the following in the presentation: -Explanation of how each team member selected a particular charitable organization. -Description of how each charitable organization exemplifies the values of servant leadership (the type of work they perform; type of people they serve) -Explanation of how the Greenleaf questions are met through the organization. Similarities and differences of the different organizations. -Description of other significant takeaways as you completed the research about charitable organizations -Pictures or images from the organizations website General Requirements Refer to the resource, “Creating Effective PowerPoint Presentations,” located in the Student Success Center, for additional guidance on completing this assignment in the appropriate style.
