Expansion plan assignment ( I provided an example in the attached files as well to assist with the project)
For the expansion plan assignment, you will complete a business plan for your expansion.
I have provided several examples of non profit business plans and you
are free to find other templates or examples which suit your writing style or method for
how you would like to approach this exercise. At a minimum, your expansion plan must
include the following 6 subheadings. REMINDER: This is the outline for the final
project that you should complete

Executive summary

Provide an overview of your plan, the projected revenue and expenses needed as well as
what the market for expansion is forecast to be.

Organizational overview
Provide a brief overview of the organization and why there is a need to expand in a new
service or with existing services to another area.

Growth strategy -Vision
Articulate the vision for the expansion. What is the need that is not being met? Why is
your organization best suited to meet this need? How is the potential market-(number of
clients, educational opportunities, etc) for your plan? How will you hire, retain and staff
your plan?

Site selection process -Rate of growth
Provide detail on a 5 year rate of growth for your expansion project. Include the increase
in clients served or staffing needed and revenue forecasts.

Financial implications and fundraising plan
Provide detail on how you will finance the expansion. If its through fees what is the fee
structure? Billable units of service, donations, etc. Provide a 5 year forecast for revenue,
fundraising and expenses to include staffing expenses, office rental, etc.

Organizational implications
Provide an overview of the implications of this expansion on the organization and
organization structure. Provide a organizational flow chart of where this program or
expansion fits within the larger organizational structure.
