As our course comes to an end, we now can look at some of the parallels and differences between the major world religions.
List some of the parallels between the major world religions. Consider geography, history, period of history, or any other factors that you can think of for this topic in your post.
Reflect: The role of human nature in the construction of political institutions plays an important dynamic in how those political institutions are created, how they evolve, and how they solve problems. Many vital political institutions have faced, and are still facing, complex and multi-faceted challenges.
Responding to these challenges often creates unintended side effects that change the very nature and capabilities of the institution.
For example, the executive institutions of the U.S. government (also known as the Executive Branch) before the Civil War consisted only of the Departments of State, War, and Treasury. However, the nature and capabilities of the Executive Branch of government rapidly changed as a result of the Civil War. Thousands of new employees were added to the federal government, and new departments (e.g., Agriculture) and many new responsibilities were added to the central government.
Write: In your essay of at least two to three pages, you will investigate the executive institutions of the U.S. government by addressing the following:
Describe one historical event that significantly affected the nature and capabilities of the executive institutions of the U.S. government.
Explain how and why this event changed the nature of the Executive Branch.
Explain how and why this event changed the capabilities of the Executive Branch.
Earlier in this course and module you read and reviewed the U.S. Constitution and its first ten amendments, known as the Bill of Rights. Imagine what life would be like if certain rights weren’t protected in the United States.
Choose any one of the first 10 Amendments to the Constitution and describe how your life might be different if this amendment was missing from the U.S. Constitution.

Review the literature of a topic on distributed database systems, identify a problem of academic interest, investigate and propose solutions to the problem, and present conclusions that can withstand academic scrutiny. The paper must contain a thorough investigation of key aspects of the problem. If possible, relate the topic to professional experiences or prior research. The end product should result in a report that is suitable for publication.
