Describe a situation in your life where pressures to conform or obey affected you.

In our study of Conformity last week, we read two classic studies in Social Psychology: Asch, Opinions and Social Pressure, and Milgram, Behavioral Study of Obedience. Please answer the following two questions.

•  1. Write approximately 1 to 2 pages commenting on one of these studies (either Asch or Milgram).  You might consider:

•  What did the study find?

•  What do you think of the methodology?

•  What about ethical considerations?

•  What are some of the implications?

•  2. Describe a situation in your life where pressures to conform or obey affected you.

What are the measurable skills of critical thinking in young children?

What are the measurable skills of critical thinking in young children? •Literature review: need for theoretical foundation long discussion around the review question. •Suggestion to examine some of the philosophy for education, STEAM education and other areas literature with a view to defining how we see critical thinking – what is critical thinking? what are the indicators of success for children in critical thinking (e.g. can they reason, explain)? Thinking of yourself as a teacher, how do I know whether or not these children are thinking critically – what skills can they exhibit. •After the review, the answer to the review question should be the desired outcome as the measurable skills of critical thinking in young children should be clearly identified. Sources: No specific number I would like to ask you to Record the Research please. 1.Write up the search methodology By providing details about the methods you used when searching, you should give enough detail for someone else to reproduce the same or similar results. Your search methodology should include: where you searched (e.g. database names) when you did your searches (e.g date viewed or retrieved) limits you applied to your searches (e.g. date ranges, language, document type, etc.) 2.Write up your search strategy Search strategies are often included as an appendix to a literature review and should give enough detail for someone else to reproduce the same or similar results. Your search strategy should include: how you searched (e.g. keywords and/or subjects) search terms used (e.g. words and phrases) search techniques used (e.g. nesting, truncation, etc.) how you combined searches (e.g. AND / OR / NOT) 3.Record your results You may want to record results for all of your searches – this may be included as part of your search methodology or search strategy. This will help you and your readers to determine how much information may already be available on a specific subject and/or how effective your search strategies were. Guidance on Writing this Chapter: This should explore the question/s you are raising through evaluating the work of previous research and policy, creating a context for the subsequent investigation. The literature sources should be up to date, but should not preclude older material that is pertinent. Your literature review should look critically at a range of sources, e.g. government documents, research reports, books and journal articles. Ensure you cover the key literature and consider the range of ideas and evidence about your particular topic. It is often useful to organise your review around 3 or 4 essential themes / debates and use these as section headings. The review should closely relate and contribute to your own research programme. It is useful to develop a personal ‘database’, using index cards or a suitable computer based system, on the available literature. Ensure that all details of work cited are complete, including the page number for any quotations. Whilst it can be appropriate to quote directly from source material, this technique should be used sparingly; it is usually better to paraphrase or draw out key issues so that you maintain control over the arguments presented. Beware of using the literature only to support your position and arguments; critical analysis is a crucial element of a good dissertation. For this reason it often works better stylistically to be as a transparent as possible about the origin of the work e.g. Lakoff and Johnson (2004) argue / propose / question ……

  1. Describe the Harlem Children’s Initiative
  2. Describe which Community Intervention Components (from Ch. 5) were incorporated into the Harlem Children’s Initiative, and thus made it successful
  3. Explain how these program components would affect community members’ (i.e., children’s) stress, coping, social support and resilience (from Ch. 3)

Discuss two types of media methods you could use to highlight your product or service.

All products/services go through a life cycle of NPI (new product introduction), growth, maturity, and decline. These various stages affect the marketing strategy and promotional efforts for a particular product or service. In Week 3, you will incorporate a product strategy that addresses at least 3 areas of the product life cycle. The primary objective of this assignment is to allow you to demonstrate an understanding of the factors that can affect the launch of a product or service.

Assignment Steps

Create a product strategy in Microsoft® Word. Complete the following:

· Select a product strategy.

· Address at least three areas of the product life cycle (e.g., NPI, growth, maturity, and decline).

· Discuss two types of media methods you could use to highlight your product or service.

· Determine how you will measure the marketing activities (i.e., what metrics will be used to determine success or failure).

Write a paper discussing how you would distinguish the clinical manifestations of peripheral artery disease from the manifestations peripheral venous disease?

How would you distinguish the clinical manifestations of peripheral artery disease from the manifestations peripheral venous disease?

The peripheral venous disease also referred to as (PVD), is a condition that affects the central portions causing damage, defects or blockage in the veins, which are responsible for carrying blood throughout the whole body. Peripheral venous disease can happen any place in the body but is often found in the arms and legs. (n.d.)

Peripheral artery disease, or (PAD) is a disease in which plaque forms in the arteries that carry blood through the body. Plaque is built up of fat, cholesterol, calcium, fibrous tissue, and other substances in the blood. (n.d.)

PVD usually appear as blood clots that obstruct veins. A clot forms when vein walls become frail and blood circulation weaken. If the blood clot is found deep in a vein within the body, it is known as deep vein thrombosis. however, if the clot is found in the vein closer to the skin, it is called superficial thrombophlebitis. (n.d.)

Peripheral artery disease can be examined through a physical examination, ABI, ultrasound, angiography and blood tests. While peripheral venous disease can be examined through a venography, VQ scan and an ultrasound. When examining PAD one can find low or absent pulse under a narrowed region of the artery, weak healing area where the blood flow and in some cases blood pressure in the affected region may be limited. PVD causes vein walls to become feeble due to injuries, major surgery, obesity, pregnancy, medications and smoking. Symptoms include pain in the affected area, swelling, redness and warm sensation.

Conclusively, Peripheral Venous Disease affects the veins, while Peripheral Artery Disease will only affect the arteries. Both causing individuals with the condition pain and difficulty using their arms and legs. Impeding peripheral arteries and veins to carry blood through your arm and leg muscles and to the organs in and underneath your stomach area. (n.d.)

Discuss the significance of the two paths or what they mean to the project.

The performance of a project was evaluated 10 weeks after its start. Refer to Table 12.15 on page 579 of your textbook for additional details.

  1. Develop a Gantt Chart based on Table 12.15
  2. On the same Gantt chart, use a legend to show the project plan and the (actual) project progress.
  3. Discuss the significance of the two paths or what they mean to the project.

What factors facilitate professional role development in Nursing?

What do you think about the current image of nursing?

Studies conducted by scholars in the field of professional nursing have shown evidence of the public’s lousy image of nurses (Cruickshank, Paliadelis, Gazula & McAllister, 2018). In many reports, people admit to perceiving nurses are inferior to other medical professionals such as general practitioners, surgeons, and even dentists (Cruickshank, Paliadelis, Gazula & McAllister, 2018). Thus, many people view a nurse as a second-class professional as compared to a doctor.

Among members of the society, nursing as a profession is considered weaker compared to medicine (Masters, 2018). News of striking nurses from many countries around the world have painted an even fainter picture of the profession because students are scared of choosing a course that doesn’t pay when joining university (Cruickshank, Paliadelis, Gazula & McAllister, 2018).

Thus, people view nurses as underpaid professional, and therefore not many people grow up aspiring to become a nurse in the future. However, there is a paradigm shift where communities are embracing the nursing profession and getting to appreciate and respect nurses. This paradigm shift has come along with increased personalized care and home healthcare nurses.

Question Two

What factors facilitate professional role development in Nursing?

Several factors facilitate professional role development in nursing. These include better continued learning programs in many hospitals, a significant increase in the number of nurses offering at-home care services, increased nursing certification measures by state and Federal governments, and graduate trainee programs by many healthcare institutions (Gunn et al., 2019).

Increased use of modern technologies is also playing a part in facilitating professional role development in nursing by requiring licensed nurses to get continuous training and learning of the new inventions in healthcare (Gunn et al., 2019). A combination of these factors reflects a bright future of the nursing profession.

Artificial intelligence, telehealth, robotics and 3D-printing in medicine are some of the cornerstone technologies shaping the future of nursing. These technologies will allow nurses to personalize healthcare services for each client. This personalization will in turn lead to increased quality of healthcare services, reduction in hospitalization costs and reduced medication errors (Gunn et al., 2019). The end results will be a drastic increase in the overall quality of healthcare services by professional nurses.
