Create your critical path or critical chain or project network as a Word document.

In Module 3, you created a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for your course project. The WBS is one tool that is used in most projects. In this activity, you will determine the critical path for your course project by selecting one of three offered approaches: • critical path • critical chain • network diagram Using that assignment and any feedback from your instructor, create a critical path for your project. You may create a critical path, utilize a critical chain, or complete a project network, as each of these items provide a complimenting view of the project in process. You are not required to create a Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) chart, but include the steps you would take if you were to create a PERT chart. What information would you need in addition to the data used to construct the critical path? What issues are evident in your critical path? What steps can you take to avoid failure along your critical path? What additional information would a PERT chart provide as you make decisions about your project? Create your critical path or critical chain or project network as a Word document. • You may use the shapes in Word, construct the image in Microsoft Visio and insert it into Word, or create it in Microsoft Project and insert it in Word. The important thing is that the submission is part of a Word document so your instructor can open and grade the work. • Properly label all aspects of your critical path and label the paper with your name and assignment particulars. Within the Word document, answer the questions above with enough specifics and details to relay your understanding. Your paper should be between 3 pages depending on the size of your chart. Write a 3 page paper with the required chart(s) in Word format. You may use Microsoft Visio or another tool to create the chart, but it must be pasted or embedded in a Word document for submission. Use the American Psychological Association (APA) style (6th edition) for writing your assignment.

Create a PowerPoint® presentation that discusses Freud, Erikson, and two other psychoanalytic or neo-psychoanalytic theorists.

Create a 10- to 12-slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation that discusses Freud, Erikson, and two other psychoanalytic or neo-psychoanalytic theorists. Discuss the following in your presentation: Why was Freud’s work so influential? How did the analysts that followed Freud dissent from his viewpoint? What links the theorists in the psychoanalytic theory group? What are three or more psychoanalytic concepts relevant to today’s culture? Explain their relevance, and provide an example of each.

Could an enzyme/pathway be important during infection but not show an effect when it is knocked-out? Why?

1. Write a paper describing the work presented. Include in your overview, some background on the topic and the goals and rationale of the study.

2. Write a paper describing the experimental design used to address the goal/problem and list the major results from each approach. Be sure to include the two key areas (proteomics results and central metabolism results) and how they connected the results from these two areas to make a complete story.

3. Answer the following questions.

1. Given what you know about regulation of central pathways, why did the authors not identify pathways that were required during infection in their proteomics experiments?

2. Could an enzyme/pathway be important during infection but not show an effect when it is knocked-out? Why?

3. What are the main findings in the paper? [hint: what does E. coli eat in the urinary tract?]

4. What is an auxotroph? How did the author demonstrate auxotrophic phenotypes in vitro? What did the in vivo results from the 2 auxotrophs tell us about the urinary tract environment and how did these data support the main findings of the paper?

Choose one of the functions or one that you have found, and explain how you could use one of the methods of Six Sigma to improve the function you have picked

This week we are learning about Six Sigma and how small businesses can benefit from using Six Sigma. For this forum you are asked to review the value creating function chart in lesson 1. Choose one of the functions or one that you have found, and explain how you could use one of the methods of Six Sigma to improve the function you have picked.

Using one of the methods, explain how you will evaluate a clear measure of quality improvement.

Implementing methodologies that improve production and product reliability is a cross-departmental, cross-functional process. The assignment for this week is to use either DMAIC: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control, or DMADV: Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, Verify for one cross-departmental, cross functional process from your business venture. Using one of the methods, explain how you will evaluate a clear measure of quality improvement. This is not about the data, just about the method.
