Describe how the social worker in the case used a strengths perspective and multiple tools in her assessment of Claudia.

As with all areas of the social work process, cultural competence is essential when engaging and assessing a child’s concerns. Being culturally competent includes understanding the unique needs of your client and asking how those needs can be fulfilled. Using an empowerment perspective treating clients as experts on their lives and their needs is essential. Not only does this establish your commitment to being culturally sensitive and aware, but it will enhance the therapeutic relationship. While it is essential to learn and master social work skills and techniques to be a successful practitioner, another significant indicator of a successful intervention is the relationship a social worker builds with his or her client. Some research suggests that the quality of the therapeutic relationship will account for 30% of the clinical outcome of the treatment (Miller, Duncan, and Hubble, 2005, as stated in Walsh, 2010, p. 7). Exhibiting a dedication to learning about a client’s culture, history, and current environmental factors exemplifies a social worker’s desire to build that client–worker bond.

In a  paper, explain how the literature informs you about Claudia and her family when assessing her situation.

  • Describe two social issues related to the course-specific case study for Claudia that inform a culturally competent social worker.
  • Describe culturally competent strategies you might use to assess the needs of children.
  • Describe the types of data you would collect from Claudia and her family in order to best serve them.
  • Identify other resources that may offer you further information about Claudia’s case.
  • Create an eco-map to represent Claudia’s situation. Describe how the ecological perspective of assessment influenced how the social worker interacted with Claudia.
  • Describe how the social worker in the case used a strengths perspective and multiple tools in her assessment of Claudia. Explain how those factors contributed to the therapeutic relationship with Claudia and her family.

What process do you propose to mitigate the threats towards mobile devices?

Mobile devices (smartphones) are the number one Internet-connected device. Mobile devices are also a threat to organizations’ networks as these devices have storage mediums, Near Field Communication (NFC), and other technological advances that make them undeniable dangerous as an access point for malicious individuals. We carry them nearly everywhere we go. Android is an open-source that allows customization to the operating system and is considered static. While iOS is not open source and controlled by Apple, however, users can jailbreak them which lowers the security and expose the device to vulnerabilities.

What would be your goals for therapy for Richard? Give rationale with evidence from articles.

Richard is a 40-year-old man with a history of 4 weeks of cluster headache once each year. These began when he was 35 years old. His cluster periods occur in the fall. The cluster period begins slowly, increasing over 1 week, reaching a peak where Richard has two or three severe cluster attacks each day. They occur from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. Each cluster headache lasts from 40 to 90 minutes, and the headaches are severe. The pain is always on the right side, with eye tearing and nasal congestion.

Richard comes into our office 1 week into this fall’s cluster series. The headaches are increasing in intensity, and he is miserable with the pain.

Please complete the following questions:

  • Describe Cluster Headache and its epidemiology.
  • What would be your goals for therapy for Richard? Give rationale with evidence from articles.

Why is the standard deviation of the sampling distribution smaller than the standard deviation of the population from which it came?

1. How do you calculate the mean and standard deviation of the sampling distribution for sample means?

2. What is the effect of increasing sample size on the sampling distribution and what does this mean in terms of the central limit theorem?

3. Why is the standard deviation of the sampling distribution smaller than the standard deviation of the population from which it came?

NOTE: Answers to the above questions should be answered generally – not in respect to the video. The video is to give you a better understanding of sampling distributions and the CLT.

What tool do you currently use and intend to use to evaluate chemical reactivity and incompatibility in your workplace?

1. When certain hazardous chemicals are stored or mixed together, violent reactions can occur. Section 7 of the new GHS Safety Data Sheet includes a section describing any chemical incompatibilities. Reflect on the importance of this section and a general understanding of chemical incompatibility in the workplace. What tool do you currently use and intend to use to evaluate chemical reactivity and incompatibility in your workplace?

Your journal entry must be at least 200 words. No references or citations are necessary.

2. Recall and reflect on a hazmat incident that has occurred in your lifetime. Describe that incident and detail the tools or resources that you would use as a first responder to evaluate the chemicals that were involved in the incident.

you will compose an essay about the concept of chemical incompatibility including practical information involving two common chemical products.

· Choose bleach (a base) and another household chemical product that is an acid and review the product labels. You can access product labels and Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information on the Internet.

· Record each product’s chemical formulation.

· Review Section 7 of the product SDS and summarize that information as it relates to the chemical incompatibility and storage of the bleach and the other product that you chose.
