A critical component to the U.S. Maritime Surveillance Strategies is Coast Guard Intelligence (CG-2); intel personnel are integrated at every level. Coast Guard Intelligence components bring three unique and critical characteristics to the intelligence and law enforcement communities: (1) Maritime Access, (2) Maritime Emphasis, and (3) Maritime Expertise.
