Careers in Psychology

For this seminar discussion, discuss various aspects of careers in psychology and related fields. Be sure to use relevant sources to discuss the questions below, and of course, cite those. Otherwise, feel free to discuss any other areas related to psychology jobs and careers.

You may also find it helpful to search the internet for jobs using various job sites. Try searching for “job” and “psychology” and even “undergraduate psychology” to see what you find.

Your discussion should address the following questions / topics:
1. What are some common and uncommon careers a person might obtain with an undergraduate degree in psychology?
2. What careers require a license and graduate degrees in psychology? Be sure to include discussions of Licensed Counselors, Psychologists, and Psychiatrists in this section.
3. What are your personal career goals and plans to accomplish them? What education and credentials will you need? How much money do you expect, and what non-tangible benefits such as personal satisfaction or helping others, can also be accomplished through your career?
