First, you will write a response to two readings on revision. You should highlight the main points of the readings below:

Carol Berkenkotter, “Decisions and Revisions: The Planning Strategies of a Publishing Writer,” in WAW, pp. 830-846, and

Alcir Santos Neto, “Tug of War: The Writing Process of a Bilingual Writer and His Struggles,” in WAW, pp. 774-785.

You can use the ideas developed and the class discussion about writing process and decisions, but I do not want you to mainly restate your responses to questions presented in class. I am looking for a demonstration of your understanding of these readings.

You should include at least 300 words for this section.

For the second part, you will reflect on if/how your writing process changed after reading these two selections. You may want to answer the following questions, but you are free to discuss other aspects related to your revision process.

How did thinking and reading about writing processes influence Major Project 3?

What improvements/changes do you think would be helpful for you to make regarding your writing processes?
