The paper needs to answer the following questions referring to the Barclay’s Center (NY) but also the surrounding area, since the Barclay’s center is part of the project called Atlantic Yards Project.

The goal here is to confront the proposal with reality. For this, you should use official
reports when available and assessments from trusted sources (major news organizations and/or peer
reviewed works).
(1) Provide a brief description of the proposed project (size/scope, budget, sources of funding, etc).
What were the main proposed benefits (financial and otherwise) that would be generated to the
host city/metropolitan area of building the stadium?
(2) How much of the proposed bid translated into reality? Compare the proposed and final budgets,
infrastructure investments, and other benefits with what actually happened. In what ways did
they fulfill, come close, or totally miss the mark? What are the reasons why?
