Needs a bibliographical entry on the first page. Talk about the author’s purpose(s) and thesis(theses). Does the work successfully develop the purpose of thesis? Why does it develop them or why does it not develop them? What are the strengths or weaknesses of the work? Does the author write well or poorly? What are the sources the author consulted in his study? Was the book edited carefully? Is it a work of scholarship? Make analytical remarks about the reading. Report cannot be a lengthy rehash of the books contents.
