Write a narrative argument on a debatable issue, where you advance a solution to a societal/familial/emotional problem you’ve encountered. Make sure this problem intersects in some way with our guiding question: “What should we do now that our progress (e.g. digital technology) is outpacing our morality?” Focus on a problem that keeps you up at night, that you’re curious about, that haunts you. Take a stance on the issue and rest on a solution that is in dispute.
Employ narrative elements in the service of your argument. A narrative is a story about an event, with a beginning, middle, and end. Narrative elements include characters, setting, dialogue, conflict, struggle, climax, and resolution. This element of the assignment is required. Creative thinking is one of the most important elements of critical thinking.
