Write a narrative essay that reflects on a series of personal experiences with cultural diversity in your life as a student.

For example, you might share 3-5 important moments in your life that were significant to you, that profoundly shaped you into a student now interested in education and importance of cultural sensitivity (which can include being sensitive to prejudice, social class, gender, sexual orientation, neurodiversity, etc.).

Keeping in mind that the five basic components of narrative are plot, character, conflict, sensory details, and theme, write a narrative essay that engages the senses to emotionally engage the reader and get a point across.

The Meaning of Teaching
Teaching can be a fantastic relationship with kids that can impact their lives forever. My inspiration for becoming a teacher began with me working at a Daycare for the first time and seeing the difference one made in the life of young children.
As an immigrant, without knowing the English language everyone spoke, adapting to the United States was not easy and looking for a job that I enjoy even harder. However, I had the opportunity to work in different places. My first job was in a bakery that, to this day, I remember the smell of the fresh bread coming out from the oven, I also work in a boutique helping clients with their fashion critique. Neither of those jobs impacted my life.
In the meantime, a friend of mine told me something about working with kids, and I always intrigue by working with kids since I left Venezuela. My experience in teaching began at my first daycare teaching job in Miami. As a daycare teacher, I started working with toddler kids. I was busy for sure and overwhelmed. I had no clue what I was doing. But at the same, I found it entertaining and fulfilling.
