The objective of this exercise is to increase the student’s awareness and understanding of how statutes or regulations affect public health practice and policy by evaluating a current statute or regulation. 1. Identify a Health Care Related Statute or Regulation. You can go to your local library or use online resources to identify a health care related statute or regulation. Hint: Try www.findlaw.com. Do not use a bill, i.e. a proposed law in a state legislature or the U.S. Congress. The statute or regulation you choose must be implemented and in use.
