Write a post that revisits the elliptical readings we did with either the Hafiz-Goethe or the Chaucer-Agbabi relations, and compare it to one other pair of texts we put in relation (Antigone-Antígona Furiosa; the Shahnameh then and now; etc). By focusing on the idea of the “classic,” please elaborate on two (2) similarities and two (2) differences between the Hafiz-Goethe or the Chaucer-Agbabi relation and the second pair you discuss. Then make an argument about what makes a “classic” of World Literature from the point of view of what you have learned in this course. What are the different ways that a “classic” can travel out beyond its own origin into another “world” than the one in which it began? What makes a text or movie a “classic” of World Literature?
