In a position paper, you will research multiple sides of an issue (for or against) and your own opinion (what’s your take) will make a significant part of the argument. Are you for, against, or somewhere in between? Take the issue of global climate change for example. There is scientific evidence to suggest that our use of energy, fossils fuels especially is having an effect on Earth’s climate. There is an opposing view that humans play no significant role in our changing climate and that Earth is simply doing what it’s done throughout its history.
