1. Explain why Bootcamp at Facebook is an example of feedforward control.
2. How effective would concurrent control be at Facebook if it was top-down only?
3. Is there a better way for Zuckerberg to collect feedback on new business ventures? Explain why or why not.

Read the Business Case “Prairie General Hospital in your textbook on pages 315–316. Then answer following three questions.
1. Describe the types of changes that have occurred at Prairie General in terms of structure, technology, and people. Cite examples.
2. Why do you believe there is resistance by the medical profession to systems such as CareWeb? Explain.
3. Assume you are going to make a presentation to a group of hospital staff (doctors and administrators) on why they should invest in technology such as CareWeb. How would you attempt to overcome their resistance to change and their attitude about continuing to do what they have always done? Discuss.
