In an essay, discuss how memories are formed and maintained in the brain through the actions of neural circuitry.

The goal of this paper is to understand how the brain and memory processes are intertwined and how certain techniques can improve these processes. When is it adaptive to remember, and in what ways may it be adaptive to forget?4. Given what we know about brain mechanisms in memory, are our memories accurate? Explain your answer using the information on how memories are stored in the brain.5. How can knowledge of the brain and memory systems be used to help individuals suffering from memory problems (e.g., poor memory, amnesia, PTSD)?6. Write a paper comparing two poems from the anthology “Ozymandias” and “Ulysses”

The final assignment for the semester is an essay you write comparing two poems from the anthology. I recommend using “Ozymandias” by Percy Shelley and “Ulysses” by Alfred, Lord Tennyson because both of these poems are about powerful leaders who have become old or extinct. Ozymandias is dead and even his statue has crumbled to nothing. Ulysses, meanwhile, is old and wishes to have one last adventure before he dies. So, looking at these poems side-by-side, write an essay about what the poems teach us about politics, power, and growing old.

What is the fear or the (false) assumptions made about women by those in power that necessitate such historic delays in granting women equal say/power in laws and politics?

What is interesting to note is that certain classes of women in other developed countries around the time of the Women’s Suffrage Movement in the United States had been allowed to vote as early as 1860, and in 21st-Century terms, over nineteen foreign countries have or have had female presidents or prime ministers, but the United States has never had a woman hold its highest office. And, even though there was a female candidate for President in this election cycle, there is still much debate about her (and, really, all women’s) suitability. Consequently, FOR THIS ESSAY, you will explore why, how, and even if the United States can continue to package itself as the greatest developed nation in the world while excluding women from many of its major conversations and positions of power. What can we do to change this dynamic? What is the fear or the (false) assumptions made about women by those in power that necessitate such historic delays in granting women equal say/power in laws and politics? And so forth. -this essay should demonstrate the cumulative knowledge you have acquired this semester in terms of writing research papers and in how you connect the various “-isms”. ask yourself as you begin to write: “How far have we really come as a society?” Can we say that we have achieved equal rights for everyone? Are the “-isms” really a thing of the past?
