Freeman’s operations have changed significantly during the past 30 years, so the CEO wants to determine whether its dividend policy is still appropriate.The CEO suggested that tit might be a good idea for the firm to begin a dividend reinvestment plan (DRIP) because he believes that the company is a good investment and that most of the firm’s stockholders would prefer to have their dividends reinvested in the company’s stock rather than paid to them in cash.
