1. Select a recipe that is associated with a particular culture, ethnic, nation, or other type of region. The best candidate is one of your favorite family recipes that have been passed down through the generations.
2. Write the individual ingredients for the recipe in detail (as if from scratch). If you don’t have a copy of the recipe you will need to interview a person that does by phone or e-mail.
3. Research on the Internet where the ingredients were originally domesticated. If there are certain ingredients that have not been domesticated, find their natural habitat (shrimp, cranberries, etc.). Research the domestication of animals (cows, chickens, etc.).
4. Create a map showing the diffusion of the ingredients into your recipe region. Find a blank world map on the Internet. Indicate origin and diffusion of your ingredients on the map. Take a picture of your completed map (or scan it), and include it in your paper.
5. Write at least 500 words analysis of your research, including how your region’s food has been influenced by diffusion/ migration (the Old Silk Road or Columbian Exchange). Discuss the climate and land use of the region where your ethnic dish is from.

1: What is the definition of race? What are its origins? How is race distinct from ethnicity even though many people use the terms interchangeably?
2: What does it mean to say that race is an “illusion” or a “social construction?” What is a simple test of whether a phenomenon has objective reality or is socially constructed? Please provide a specific example.
3: How does race play a very real role in the structuring of human societies and, by extension, the world in which all live? Specifically, what is the relationship between ideas of race and structured inequality in highly racialized societies like the United States?

Communicate the differences, importance, and purpose of both the code of conduct and ethics. What might you utilize to make ethical hiring decisions in an organization. Why would these be important in the hiring process.

For this assignment, you should focus on the reading material for weeks 1-7. Also, use our library to support your positions.

Assignment 2: Demand-side Policies and the Great Recession of 2008

Macroeconomic analysis deals with the crucial issue of government involvement in the operation of “free market economy.” The Keynesian model suggests that it is the responsibility of the government to help to stabilize the economy. Stabilization policies (demand-side and supply-side policies) are undertaken by the federal government to counteract business cycle fluctuations and prevent high rates of unemployment and inflation. Demand side policies are government attempts to alter aggregate demand (AD) through using fiscal (cutting taxes and increasing government spending) or monetary policy (reducing interest rates). To shift the AD to the right, the government has to increase the government spending (the G-component of AD) causing consumer expenditures (the C-component of AD) to increase. Alternatively the Federal Reserve could cut interest rates reducing the cost of borrowing thereby encouraging consumer spending and investment borrowing. Both policies will lead to an increase in AD.

Develop an essay discussing the fiscal and the monetary policies adopted and implemented by the federal during the Great Recession and their impacts on the U.S. economy.

Choose one of the case scenarios presented in your assigned reading for this module and respond as if you are a clinical counselor or therapist who is a part of the treatment team for the individual within the scenario.

In your initial discussion prompt post, describe any significant considerations for treatment that you extrapolate from the case scenario. How will the helping relationship with this specific individual be different from others? Are there any cultural considerations of which you should be mindful? What social factors will affect your interaction and treatment of the individual?

Next, discuss how you would assess, diagnose and provide treatment for the individual in the scenario. You may need to briefly research assessment tools and/or evidence based treatment options for the individual’s unique situation.
