For this Discussion, you will review the case study scenario from this module’s media of two teachers sharing reading strategies they have implemented within their classrooms for Jamal. It is apparent that some of the strategies are working, whereas others are not. You will assume the role of a special education leader in which you provide guidance and direction in determining the most appropriate evidence-based literacy interventions based on Jamal’s assessment data.

To prepare:

· Review the case study video and the Module’s Learning Resources.

· Enter the Grand City interactive community and locate West Ridge Middle School. View the case study video titled “Implementing Evidence Based Practices.”

· Consider the following as you review the case study video for this module:

o Both teachers have shared evidence-based reading interventions that they have used with Jamal; some are working, whereas others are not. You are tasked with analyzing the evidence-based interventions and determining which interventions are appropriate to meet Jamal’s individual needs based on the data presented.

· Analyze Jamal’s data summary sheet displaying his needs and abilities in reading. Think about the evidence-based literacy interventions discussed. Consider the most appropriate interventions for Jamal, based on the data provided.

An evaluation of the reading intervention strategies identified by both teachers in the video. Include the following in your evaluation:

An analysis of what you believe the problem is between the two different classrooms. What are possible solutions to ensure fidelity of implementation across settings?

As the special education leader in charge, an explanation of how would you structure this meeting to relatively analyze the data and bring the two teachers to consensus on the most effective approach for fidelity of the implementation for the outlined evidence-based practices. 

Ms. G., a 23-year-old Hispanic female, came to the clinic for an annual Pap Smear and complains of having a thick, cheesy, white vaginal discharge with itching that has been present for one week. She denies burning during urination. Ms. G. is sexually active in a monogamous relationship with her boyfriend of three years. She states that she and her boyfriend have no other sexual partners. She denies fever, chills, abdominal pain, or pelvic pain. Her last menstrual period was three weeks ago. She does not have any children and is currently attending a local community college and does not have any health insurance. She states “I don’t know how this could happen to me; I am only seeing my boyfriend”. She indicates she is satisfied sexually and she uses oral contraceptives.

1. Based on her presenting signs, what other questions would you elicit?

The Reflexivity Tool is to help you situate yourself relative to your research topic and identify your potential assets and biases. Think hard and be honest when you fill it out. You will use this information in the methodology section of your final paper for this course. Below are indications regarding what each column and row covers:

• Review the Resources and reflect on the mission of state/regional boards of nursing as the protection of the public through the regulation of nursing practice.
• Consider how key regulations may impact nursing practice.
• Review key regulations for nursing practice of your state’s/region’s board of nursing and those of at least one other state/region and select at least two APRN regulations to focus on for this Discussion..

Read the Case Study associated with the specific unit carefully, then proceed as follows:

1. Prepare a response that is 750 words, double-spaced and follows APA format and referencing style.
2. While there is no “formula” for analyzing case studies, the following guidelines are recommended:
   1. Define the goals and objectives for your analysis. What questions are you trying to answer and what issues are you trying to resolve?
   2. Rapidly skim through the case study and get a sense for how the case study has been structured
   3. Read through the case study with paper and pencil and make notes as you go along
3. Structure the information in the case study: this is the key step.
   1. Whilst addressing the case questions, think of the information given in the case study as “raw data” that you have gathered to help you answer the questions and resolve the issues in Step 2a above.
   2. You need to structure this information to resolve the issues. Here are some useful dimensions along which you can structure the given information chronologically:
      1. evolution of the industry in which the enterprise operates (e.g., changes in technology, customer needs, competitive landscape)
      2. evolution of strategy – business, technology, and market – of the enterprise
      3. evolution of technology (including manufacturing), product platforms, and product lines of the enterprise
      4. the technology, product, and process development process within the enterprise
      5. growth (or decline) of the enterprise with respect to of market share, revenues, costs, profits, etc.
      6. organizational structure of the enterprise
      7. key decisions made at different stages in the life of enterprise, and the drivers for these decisions
      8. the interconnections and relationships between all the above factors

Imagine that you are the manager in charge of a company negotiating a joint venture with the Chinese government.
