Describe a virtual computer system and explain how virtualization is used in computer networks and cloud computing.

Start reviewing and responding to the postings of your classmates as early in the week as possible. Respond to at least two of your classmates. Participate in the discussion by asking a question, providing a statement of clarification, providing a point of view with a rationale, challenging an aspect of the discussion, or indicating a relationship between two or more lines of reasoning in the discussion. Complete your participation for this assignment by the end of the week.
Discussion Question 1
In molecular biology and genetics, mutations are accidental changes in a genomic sequence of DNA. Using the South University Online Library or the Internet, research genetic mutations. On the basis of your research, respond to the following:
Discussion Question 2
Using the South University Online Library or the Internet as your research tool, respond to the following:
Select an organization of your choice. The recommendation would be to pick an organization you are familiar with and have access to documentation. Once you have identified your organization, reconstruct the entire compensation design process from start to finish using SHRMs strategy process: Assessment, design, implementation, and evaluation. Explain each step of the process ensuring that there is alignment to each of the various dimensions discussed throughout this course. Your comprehensive paper should include the following, which can be used as an outline for your submission:
Support your assignment with at least seven scholarly resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including seminal articles, may be included.
A human resources manager stores a spreadsheet with sensitive personal information on her local workstation. The spreadsheet is the only file with sensitive data, and the name of the spreadsheet does not change.
As a security specialist, you must choose the best form of encryption to protect the spreadsheet. Your choices are:
BitLocker
BitLocker To Go
File encryption via Encrypting File System (EFS)
Folder encryption via EFS
Answer the following question(s):
Which form of encryption would ensure the spreadsheet is always stored on the disk in encrypted format? More than one form may be correct.
Fully address the question(s) in this discussion; provide valid rationale for your choices, where applicable; and respond to at least two other students’ views.
Imagine that you are part of an organization that has recently formed an incident response team (IRT). You need to draft an initial address to the team members. Respond with your initial address to the team members overviewing the elements of the incident response team charter and the potential challenges that an IRT could encounter.
Determine the actions of the incident response team that are the most critical in the event of a major incident or disaster.

Please respond to BOTH of the following:
Choose one of the following to include in this week’s initial post:
Make sure you are clear in describing the course concept or theory that best applies to your experiences or observations. Regardless of which prompt you choose, you are encouraged to use one of the assigned readings or audiovisual resources to support your points. Respond to your classmates’ posts, sharing any commonalities or differences between your classmates’ perspectives and experiences and your own.
Explain why the standard deviation would likely not be a reliable measure of variability for a distribution of data that includes at least one extreme outlier.
Suppose that you collect a random sample of 250 salaries for the salespersons employed by a large PC manufacturer. Furthermore, assume that you find that two of these salaries are considerably higher than the others in the sample. Before analyzing this data set, should you delete the unusual observations? Explain why or why not.
A researcher is interested in determining whether there is a relationship between the number of room air- conditioning units sold each week and the time of year. What type of descriptive chart would be most useful in performing this analysis? Explain your choice.
Suppose that the histogram of a given income distribution is positively skewed. What does this fact imply about the relationship between the mean and median of this distribution?
The midpoint of the line segment joining the first quartile and third quartile of any distribution is the median.” Is this statement true or false? Explain your answer.
If two variables are highly correlated, does this imply that changes in one cause changes in the other? If not, give at least one example from the real world that illustrates what else could cause a high correlation.
Suppose you have data on student achievement in high school for each of many school districts. In spreadsheet format, the school district is in column A, and various student achievement measures are in columns B, C, and so on. If you find fairly low correlations (magnitudes from 0 to 0.4, say) between the variables in these achievement columns, what exactly does this mean?
Suppose you have customer data on whether they have bought your product in a given time period, along with various demographics on the customers. Explain how you could use pivot tables to see which demographics are the primary drivers of their “yes/no” buying behavior.
Bipolar Therapy
Jay, an 18-year-old high school senior, presents with symptoms of difficulty sleeping and feeling sad, which results in an initial diagnosis of depression. His mother later reports, however, that Jay exhibits symptoms of irritability and risk-taking behaviors. (His little brother reported to his mother that they were driving over 90 miles an hour on the highway.) After further evaluation, Jay’s psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner diagnosed him with bipolar disorder.
Cases like this are not uncommon with bipolar disorder, as initial assessments rarely provides all the information needed. In your role, as a psychiatric mental health nurse you must develop strategies for properly assessing and diagnosing these clients because treatments for bipolar disorder are significantly different than treatments for depression or other mood disorders.
This week, as you examine bipolar therapies, you explore the assessment and treatment of clients with bipolar disorder. You also consider ethical and legal implications of these therapies.
Assignment: Assessing and Treating Clients with With Bipolar Disorder
Bipolar disorder is a unique disorder that causes shifts in mood and energy, which results in depression and mania for clients. Proper diagnosis of this disorder is often a challenge for two reasons: 1) clients often present as depressive or manic, but may have both; and 2) many symptoms of bipolar disorder are similar to other disorders. Misdiagnosis is common, making it essential for you to have a deep understanding of the disorder’s pathophysiology. For this Assignment, as you examine the client case study in this week’s Learning Resources, consider how you might assess and treat clients presenting with bipolar disorder.
Learning Objectives
Students will:
· Assess client factors and history to develop personalized plans of bipolar therapy for clients
· Analyze factors that influence pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic processes in clients requiring bipolar therapy
· Evaluate efficacy of treatment plans
· Analyze ethical and legal implications related to prescribing bipolar therapy to clients across the lifespan
