It is always a good idea to cite the relevant indices for economic growth, standard of living, corruption, and democracy but it is especially applicable here. TRC and Mandela videos should help. For Nigeria, reference Boko Haram. Q3: The emphasis in this essay should be on Iran, Turkey, and Egypt in that order. Consider secularization efforts in all three prior to the rise of the current regimes and how these regimes shape the religious/secular divide.You don’t have to discuss ancient cultures, focus on the twentieth century onwards. You have details in the text and in my notes on the selection and structure of the Iranian government but my notes should suffice for reviewing the political institutions in the other two cases. The 1979 Iran Revolution and Erdogan videos are the most helpful. Referencing the discussion board topic with this module is fine but not necessary.
